On September 4, in the kitchen of the Bath hostel, local woman Ermonia gave Abastan artists the master class of cooking the homemade Armenian khalva.
Here is a recipe for parallel cooking of 2 types of khalva - based on butter and based on sour cream:

1) Mix two small mugs of water with the same amount of sugar. Place 500 grams of thick sour cream in a frying pan. Melt the butter briquette in a separate pot.
2) Add 4 big spoons of flour to sour cream and butter. Keep on fire, stirring until thickened.
3) Remove from heat and add half the water with sugar to each mixture. Mix well and form the khalva on a plates.

That is it! You can eat it immediately or wait until it hardens.
