The textile exhibition "Faces-patches" by Anya Ang (her upcycle brand, "textile tactile") featured over 40 patches with beaded faces expressing various emotional states. People's emotions are most vividly reflected on their faces and can change, sometimes faster than the weather. In this project, the artist invites viewers to consciously choose and embrace their emotional portrait, imprinting it in their memory and over time. Viewers were invited to choose their own patch face and document the association with a photograph of the face and patch, which were then used to create a collage. The exhibition was held in the Mouse House garden, where an upcycle workshop on textile masks was also taking place that day.
As a treat, the artist offered memorial pancakes and jelly in honor of the birthday of Anna's grandmother (the artist was named after her).
